Big Excitement!

What a big day. First, and foremost, we broke ground! The excavator arrived at 7 AM to begin digging the footings of the foundation....which was done by noon. We had much fun tonight walking the maze that will be the support of our home.

Almost even more exciting, though, is that today we accepted an offer on our current house! What a relief. We will need to move out in October and find temporary housing, but we just feel so lucky to have sold our home (without a realtor!) in just 2 weeks...especially in this market.

The final bit of excitement today was the delivery of our new (old) bathtub. We all tried it out...and can't wait to really soak in it.

What a great wedding anniversary! (our 9th - yesterday)

Congrats you two - on ground breaking, house selling, and anniversary celebrating! I've been enjoying watching your plans unfold and come into being on this blog - but look forward to hearing this all in person next weekend! Hope good things continue to go your way....

Sweet...congrats on the tub & all the other monor things going on! Sounds like a successful 9th anniversary...only thing to add to that day would be a new job or a new baby girl?!? glad things are going well...keep the mazes, they look fun...hopefully see you soon.

no, no. no baby girl, mark...this house is designed for 2 boys and that's about it. (our septic couldn't handle a girl)
